Holding A Butterfly
Well I've had the honor of actually holding a butterfly. Which I think is pretty cool considering they are generally very flighty creatures and not kindly towards being handled. But this one butterfly just kind of stuck around for awhile - it seemed to like my (enormous) chive plants very much! Indeed, I have created a gallery of just this one butterfly.... I know... crazy but I love to photograph them when I can get them to sit still! Visit the "one butterfly" gallery. :)

I love it here, dear Sibyl...so beautiful..just like your spirit!
What a wonderful photo! Butterflies seem to follow me and land on me..even out into the river. I do believe they are one of my shaman creatures. Such a strange combination I have..butterflies and alligators (my main one). hee, hee
It is hot here now so I only have zinnias, sunflowers, and roses blooming in the flower garden and eggplants in the vegetable garden. One was a surprise albino eggplant..it was supposed to be a black beauty.
I wish I lived near by. I would visit your garden to learn..and maybe you would allow me to paint there. :) I want to plant a wild flower mix in front of the house on Drayton Island. The house sits on a hill overlooking the water, and I think wild flowers would compliment "her" very much. I will check into the Kitazawa site.
I am listening to Shira Kammen while typing this..divine, it is.
Well, I must make it a point to visit you more..you have reminded me of many things I hold dear. I leave you with a happier heart.
