I am currently reading this (children's book lol) Hugo Cabret illustrated AND written by Brian Selznick. The artwork captures me; I absolutely love it. It is one of the most BEAUTIFUL books I have ever held, the design, fonts, and weight and color of the papers and backings are outstanding in every way. Just wonderful. The story is partly inspired by the life and work of Georges Méliès, creator of the world's first science fiction movie entitled "A Trip To the Moon" - circa 1902 (see it here).

I am heaven with all of this music you are sharing, since we seem to resonate with a lot of
the same things. I've had the last song you posted on repeat all morning. One of my favorite
Armenian musicians is Djivan Gasparyan...and there is an instrumental of Dle Yaman by him
that is beautiful.
Hello! Thank you very much for enjoying everything here. It takes alot of time to compile it all but I felt it was worth doing because alot of these things are just hard to find and obtain today. Djivan is a wonderful musician yes. There is another version also of this I will probably post and forgot to do so. It is sung traditional Armenian style and is very old, but equally as lovely despite not having the digital synthesis of the newer versions. I have a really curious ear for music; my family often teases me because I can recall lyrics from music 20years ago though I may have heard it once. Like photographic memory. I can NOT read music but I can play by ear if I choose to. However, Chopin is almost impossible to play by ear so that's a composer that would take me a long time to learn by sound alone. Thanks so much for your words of encouragement! HUGS!!!
